There is no official publishing of the number of Epstein Files provided by the US DOJ (Department of Justice Epstein Files).
The diagram shows the total amount of files since 2021-02-20 with a maximum of 1.208.989 files. The number of files has not been higher since then (for details see table below).
Way of calculation ... seems to be complicated, but there is a simple way to do it manually! Look at at the URL for the second page of Dataset 1:
https://www.justice.gov/epstein/doj-disclosures/data-set-1-files?page=1 (first page is 0)
By modifying the page number to (e.g.) 15000 in your browser you will get the last available page of dataset 1 (scroll down to the end of the page and you will see the number of the provided page).
So you have to calculate to get the number of links for dataset 1: NoOfPages * 50 + FoundLinksOnLastPage (there are 50 links on a full page...).
